For the second consecutive year, the Manitoba Blizzard climbed to the top of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League with the help of some homegrown talent.
The Blizzard finished the year with a record setting 18–2 win–loss record, clinching the top spot in the league’s Junior B– Tier 1 division after besting the Red Deer Rampage 12–8 in the finals, which took place Aug. 8 in Edmonton.
According to Blizzard veteran and Thompson local Taylor Ritchie, this unprecedented result is the culmination of a group of athletes being allowed to gel over the course of several years.
