ANNOUNCEMENT

In 2026 the Winnipeg Blizzard Senior team entered the PGLL. After a 10 game season and a semifinal win versus standing Buffalo the Blizzard went on to play the Saskatoon Brewers where they defeated them 15–4 to win the 2026 Pgll league championship.

The Winnipeg Blizzard organization would like to thank everyone who was involved with the senior program this year in making this inaugural season's championship team possible.

Summer 2026 marks a defining moment for the Winnipeg Blizzard and lacrosse in Manitoba.

With the Blizzard’s move into Junior A, and the introduction of Junior B and Senior B competition in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League, major lacrosse is taking a bold step forward.

Adding to this momentum is an exciting new partnership with the Manitoba Lacrosse Association, launching the Frost Provincial A Program. Together, we are building a clear, high-performance pathway that will elevate development, raise standards, and provide Manitoba’s minor athletes with an unprecedented opportunity to reach the next level.

This is more than growth — it’s a new era of lacrosse in Manitoba.

2023 Team tryouts for RMLL and Founders Cup

Dates: March 11th, 18th, 25th, and April 1st
Cost: $75.00 per player
Payment Deadline: Prior to the March 11th session

This year there will be player options. The Blizzard will select 25 players that wish to play for the Blizzard in the RMLL season. From this list, if there are players that do not wish to join the team at this year's Founders Cup, the coaching staff will select players that do wish to play at Founders and add them to the Founders roster.

At the start of the tryout session on March 11th, each player will be given a form that they need to fill out and hand in on the 18th of March. This form will be your declaration on which option you wish to be evaluated on. Good luck to all players

  • Option #1 - Request to be evaluated to play for the Blizzard in the RMLL season as well as at Founders Cup
  • Option #2 - Request to be Evaluated to play for the Blizzard only in the RMLL season
  • Option #3 - Request to be evaluated to play for the Blizzard only at the Founders Cup
There are three options:
